I’m sick of explosions, super heroes, remakes, and gratuitous sex. This has none of that. Just a sweet story about two broken people, the perceptive octopus who recognized what they had in common, and how he brought them together. Definitely in my top 25 now, and over time it could creep into the top 10.

It doesn’t try to milk tears out of you with manipulative contrivances or Hallmark‑grade schmaltz… It actually makes you feel things. Sally Field was particularly spectacular in this. I knew she was good, but didn’t realize just how good.
