- Carter6. februar 2026Prom Night is a worthy reimagining of the original horror classic that takes a different approach to the franchise and it actually works well. The cast in this film is very good, with them all delivering great performances and portraying likeable characters. It was also so much fun seeing Idris Elba in a film like this. The film is also pretty intense with a couple thrilling chase sequences and kill scenes. The film does go in a different rout killer wise and I do think it does miss the mark on that one, I personally just don’t think a regular guy with a knife is scary enough at all. The PG-13 rating also holds the kills back a little in my opinion, all the kills are the same with no uniqueness to them. So overall a remake that is actually batter than the original and is just a fun time.
