Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones were already familiar faces, but here they leaned fully into the ridiculous. It wasn’t a blockbuster. It wasn’t polished, but it was weird, and that made it memorable. It’s not high art, but it’s a time capsule. A reminder of when TV was unpredictable and discovering something strange felt like finding treasure.
