In an alien world that is powered by light produced at a foreboding, fortress-like factory, there is a stark difference between the privileged and the disadvantaged. But the child of the factory owner has been brought up ignorant of this division. When they are finally allowed to visit, they see their world as it really is for the first time, and they discover the dark secret behind the factory's success. Now they have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy - a choice that could change their life and the world they've known for ever.
