Nogle år ude i fremtiden er James Howlett, alias Logan eller Wolverine, langsomt ved at blive slået ihjel af sit adamantiumskelet, der før gjorde ham usårlig. This is based on Old Man Logan, which I have never read but my understanding is that it is far more depressing than this movie. That is hard to imagine because this story is seemingly designed to traumatize lifelong X-Men fans. Excellent acting and if you like a much darker tone then this will definitely satisfy you.

I have no idea why I waited so long to watch this movie. I would say it's a classic. I truly loved it. It was not what I expected but that's mostly where you find the rare jewels.

My favorite capeflick of all time probably because it's just so divorced from the typical capeflick tropes. It's a treat to see non-romantic love be the driving force in characterization in a movie like this.

great flick. it's not just a great wolverine movie, it transcends the comic book/super hero genre and delivers a gut punching, raw and no-nonsense story about loss (both internal and external) and redemption. superb (not-quite) final outing by hugh jackman who shines above an all around excellent cast with fantastic performances wherever you look. Highly recommended!

Logan is the unchained, visceral masterpiece fans spent decades waiting for, finally delivering the true-to-life chaos that a character with metal claws demands. With Hugh Jackman at the helm, the film strips away the glossy superhero veneer to reveal a raw, western-noir drama. It is a brilliant, beautifully paced character study that feels less like a comic book movie and more like a somber reflection on violence and legacy. The R-rating is a game-changer here, finally allowing for the brutal, bloody action that feels essential to the character's nature rather than just gratuitous. While we now know this wasn't the absolute final time we’d see Jackman pop the claws, it remains a perfect, poignant conclusion to his solo era. It is a heavy, emotional ride that stands tall as arguably the finest entry in the entire X-Men saga.

Logan's story actually develops the main characters beyond the action. However, for the last half of the movie, it turns back into a predictable action-driven film.
