The story revolves around two main characters: Liborio, a family man apparently upstanding, and Felice Sciosciammocca, son of one of his old and rich friend, who's dead. Felice, grateful for the friendship shown to his family, tries to be useful, but ends up only to create a series of trouble to poor Liborio. Set in the '50s, the story unravels through a series of identity mistakes, misunderstandings, meetings and crashes, that make for an irresistible rhythm.
