At the same time, the script occasionally feels a bit uneven, with dialogue that doesn’t always match the brilliance of the visual storytelling. The pacing, too, dips at moments where the tension could have been tighter. Still, the film succeeds in creating a sense of adventure and danger that makes it stand out. It’s entertaining, memorable, and packed with iconic scenes that define blockbuster cinema.
- James Saenz23. juni 2025“god help us; we’re in the hands of engineers.” one of the few instances where the book and its film adaptation are vastly different, yet both are masterpieces in their own right. i cry every time i watch this film— it’s probably one of the most important and fundamental films of my life; it’s influenced so much of my taste and personality and philosophical outlook on the world. there’s nothing i can say that hasn’t already been said before about this film, but its warning about the hubris and the lack of ethics and morality that come from science backed by corporate greed feels more prescient than ever.
