- Patrick D.17. august 2026This one has all the faults of the first one dialed up a bit with excessive flashbacks, CGI slop dialed way up, and I really mean egregiously excessive flashbacks and CGI slop. But holy shit the music was even worse this go around. There's one scene in particular where I just couldn't believe the music editing. Seriously. It's so bad I was completely dumbfounded. The story was awful too. The climax was awful, the humor was awful, really the whole third act was ass. Bill Skarsgard killed it again. I was glued to the screen when he was in the scene (prior to the 3rd act) which is the only reason this is getting more than 1 star. Other than that they really overstayed their welcome with this one. The first film was much better. Did I mention this was almost 3 hours?

- Nyxus_6. april 2026While the first movie had scares between the plot, Chapter Two felt like it prioritized plot between the scares... until the last hour of the movie, when the plot dragged and dragged.
- Adam Abaza10. februar 2026It continues the story of the confrontation with Pennywise after the heroes have grown up. The film is too long and relies heavily on flashbacks and digital effects. There are some good scary moments, but the tension is less than in the first film, and the terror isn't as intense. The acting is good, but the script is sometimes repetitive. An entertaining experience for fans of the series, but less impactful and less frightening. It continues the story of the confrontation with Pennywise after the heroes have grown up.

Bowers should have been developed more as a psychological threat instead of only spraying in a couple of scenes acting like a zombie, and it was a lost chance for an interesting redemption arc. I wonder if the running joke about bad endings was meant for Stephen King...
