If you’ve ever wanted to imagine what Baraka eating pussy would look like, have I got the film for you! Revolutionary cinema (literally). It’s praxis! Old white couple left right BEFORE the sex scene. They have no idea what they missed Norma Rae x The Bling Ring x Get Out Music too loud. Advise watching with subtitles for all the jokes! Main theme was exceptional tho Demi Moore better performance than The Substance imo. Hope she doesn’t end up actually being evil like Arnie Hammer in Sorry To Bother You Taylour Paige is forever my love. Will Poulter was fun even in his small part Insane 3rd act turn, maybe wilder than STBY. The cameo of the cop in the tank destroyed me LOVED the monochromatic color schemes Some hilarious EEAAO stuff during the fashion manipulator. I lol’d hard a lot throughout if I’m being honest! MC5 needledrop made me loudly start stinging and gave me hella goosebumps Boots Riley is a modern surrealist master My Trotsky shirt has gotten a little ratty so I wore the cowardICE tee instead. Didn’t necessarily fit the theme but the sentiments are similar - EQUALITY Watched at Warren Regal 21 Currently Ranked #8/79 in 2026 Ranked ____________ Watch # 2 “Let’s be connected in real ways!” but also “My mother won’t even talk to me anymore.” “Your mother’s a bitch.” — FREE STATE FESTIVAL LIVE SCREENING AND Q&A — Had so many things I wanted to ask him and also easily could have brought a record for him to sign but I’m too scared. I was third in line and he greeted us first three randos with a handshake and I thought that rules / was cute and I felt very blessed 🙏🙌 guy in front of me was genuinely moved by it lol It was hilarious noticing the disparaging difference in age and wealth between the pass holders to the festival and to the people who just had tickets lol Sat front row and loved every second of the screening and the Q&A. Boots talked about a lot of things that were important to him and his work and it was wonderful. Also didn’t realize the impact Sorry To Bother You had. Multiple people mentioned how it was one of their favorite films of all-time and the last girl said it was her favorite and she was awestruck and it was adorable. 🥹 Literally rides the line of 4 and 4.5 stars for me. Gonna give it the latter for the complementary insight. Eric Andre is still somehow my favorite part of a great film with a ton of good bits. The huge heels is a close #2. The amalgamation of genres and concepts and surrealism reminds me of another 2026 fav, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die Rewatching this made me realize there are just SO MANY jokes constantly in the foreground and background. So excited to watch it at home and see all the little jokes and be able to read subtitles bc I’m a baby Viva la revolución ☭ Watched at Lawrence Arts Center Currently Ranked #9/103 in 2026 Ranked

I was just here for LaKeith Stanfield and Keke Palmer and what a ride I went on. I'm not quite sure what I watched. I feel like they kind of lost the plot half way through but they had cool mcguffins that could transport things and so they went with it. The set and prop designers and even the makeup people got to have a good time on this set. I think there was even a miniatures sequence team that was living it up. It had wild moments but was kind of slow.

Absolutely amazing. Great message, great satire, great characters. Felt like Wes Anderson, Dr. Suess, and Karl Marx all suddenly turned black and made a film with Spike Lee. It’s like a Troma movie for black people. Every time I thought the movie couldn’t get any wild or crazier, it totally did. Glad I got to catch this in theaters. Looking forward to Boots Riley’s next project. Maybe even a season 2 of I’m a Virgo.

I love Boots Riley’s absurdist sensibilities. Keke Palmer’s always infectious energy combined with the colorpop fashion heist alchemy made for such an fun watch. I really loved Demi Moore in this. And especially loved the costumes. They are deserving of Oscar consideration. I probably liked Sorry to Bother You slightly more, but Boots Riley is an auto watch moving forward.

Style over composition and I like it and still flows well. Quite a few things that were abstract or incomprehensible to me but I liked it. I looked online to learn more about Boots Riley and appreciate this film more.

First Boot Riley film. I thought I was going to see a quirky heist movie. This movie was utterly insane in so many ways. Great time!
