- Richard3. august 2025I first watched Howl’s Moving Castle on DVD, and it instantly became one of those films I kept revisiting. It’s the kind of story that feels like a dream. The animation is breathtaking, lush landscapes, steampunk flourishes and that castle, creaking and clanking across the countryside. It's whimsical, wise and visually stunning. That DVD was one of the better buys, but I knew with Studio Ghibli you can't go wrong.

- 31. juli 2026Considering the quality of the english dub along with the incredible actors behind the voices in both languages I am legit curious to hear what you all prefer and what your go to is for this movie?! Me personally it’s english dub for Billy Crystal and Jean Simmons but I love the original Japanese version and have seen it in theatres with subtitles.

Sophie er en ung pige, som arbejder i sin mors hattemagerforretning. En 90-årig, rynket morlille, som i hvert fald ikke kan charmere den kønne Hauru. Sophie, i sin forheksede skikkelse, forlader nedtrykt byen. På sin vej møder hun fugleskræmslet Kålroe, og sammen finder de frem til Det Levende Slot. Et vandrende, prustende slot, ganske mærkværdigt konstrueret, som Hauru bor i sammen med sin lærling, drengen Markl.
