- Brian Wright19. november 2025Visually, mostly stunning throughout with the odd rear projection scene looking jarring on a large modern display. The sound is a bit thin and tinny but clear as a bell. The restoration they've done is quite incredible. There's some very dated cheesy scenes to modern tastes and they sure had a thing for young girls with old men but it's a piece of cinematic history and a must watch.
- eif99912. august 2025I had a hard time connecting with this one but the train action near the end was exciting. For the most part the extreme wide screen looked cool and it’s a beautifully shot film. But the history is incorrect. The film is watered down to such a degree that it when Jimmy Stewart savagely puts an axe into a man’s back or when Walter Brennan murders a man at point blank range none of this strangely bloodless violence is ever more than an act for the cameras. Someone else here called it Disneyfied and I agree. Also seeing old men constantly romance woman a third younger then them ages this like milk. Finally for an all-star cast most of the big stars have small walk on roles.
