And he had a great run there in the 90's but could never recapture the magic, that made his films in the 90's so rewatchable & enjoyable. Happy Gilmore has to be one of the most quotable movies, not just in the Comedy genre but movies in general of all time, the Comedy all lands perfectly, all of the main and side Characters are all memorable. The comedic timing is all on point, this was a lighting in a bottle film that had all of the ingredients required into delivering a Classic and unforgettable Comedy. Finally I can't put into words how much I miss this era of Comedies.
- Amir Animashaun8. august 2025This movie actually made golf look fun and i definitely want to try the sport out. Yeah it’s cheesy but it works and the humour is very funny and not try hard. Happy is a very violent person but gets his comeuppance from that old guy lol. I don’t really agree with what they did with Carl Weathers’ character and Christopher McDonald as Shooter is the worst guy ever bro would do anything to win at golf even if it means harming others. But other than that decent movie.
