Den cool og charmerende storsvindler Nicky tager den uerfarne tricktyv Jess under sine vinger. Han oplærer sin smukke, unge elev i svindlerfaget og afledningsmanøvrens kunst. Men da Nicky forelsker sig i Jess, begynder han at miste fokus og må efterlade hende. Tre år senere er Nicky i Buenos Aires, hvor han har gang i en millionfidus inden for motorvæddeløb. Cool world of cons, cars and high rollers. I think it could have been a little more subtle cause the reveal doesn’t give much catharsis.

Fairly average watch, first half flowed really well and dragged me into the film, second half lost me, pace felt a bit off.

this film has some issues. the first act is very captivating and the gambling scene was 100% hands down the best part of this film. but the second act... dear god. the second act is a complete mess, the first part of the second act get lost in itself and doesnt really know where it's going. the ending is so fast it feels rushed, with the whole, "this is what happened, no this is what actually happened, but wait, this is what actually happened" happening in the span of under 10 minutes. the film really focuses in on the action in the first act but by the end of the second act it blurs into discord.
