- Arthur2 dage sidenFinding Emily is an almost perfect movie if you're looking into a throwback romcom that makes you yearn for early Y2K and british romcoms with Hugh Grant, you end up liking all characters and wish there was more of them by the end. The reason I give it 4.5/5 is bc there are some characters that are used as gags without much explanation and end up confusing you a bit, but all the other parts of the movie are pretty much perfect, from the directing, the cinematography, the cast, the soundtrack, it's an almost pitch perfect romcom! Everyone in the cast are fairly new faces, the leads actually were in opposite ends of superhero franchises before, Spike Fearn as a vandal in The Batman and Angourie Rice as Betty in the Tom Holland Spiderman movies! So that's a fun fact for you! Anyways, Finding Emily is a great time and even better if you watch it with someone else! Really recommended! Also, stay for the mid credits scene!
- SirMonkalot5 dage sidenA fun yet predictable rom com that follows the same formula as most rom coms. What I found that made this one stand out was the actors and the setting. I’m a sucker for the UK and I love that this takes place in Manchester. Angourie Rice & Spike Fearn were great lead actors and I find they had awesome chemistry. Definitely an entertaining and enjoyable watch!

It has a warmth and sincerity that make it easy to connect with, leaving you with the feeling that the world could be a little better if more people acted the way its characters aspire to. Its greatest strength is how sweet and heartfelt it is without feeling overly cynical. It’s the kind of movie that leaves you smiling and hopeful. That said, I wasn't entirely satisfied with how everything is resolved in the final act. The ending feels a little too convenient and doesn't carry the same emotional weight as the journey that leads up to it. Even so, it's a charming and genuinely heartwarming film whose optimism is its greatest asset.
