I hate musicals but Fiddler on the roof is the exception. The highlight for me is the actor Topol who plays Tevye, he was made for the role. As such I wasn't surprised to find out that he played the role on stage over 3500 times throughout his life. He has an incredible presence on screen. I wish I could of seen him perform live on stage!

One of the best musicals ever made, but it's so much more. It delivers life lessons given by characters that you really care about. On the other hand, there is no other hand.

Adapted from the now long-lived (non-continuous) Broadway and West End musical. One of my favorite directors, Norman Jewison, brings it to the screen for an enjoyable 3 hours. The wedding scene is an iconic piece of cinema.
