- Richard12. december 2025Doom crawled out of the bargain bin where I found it and honestly, that’s exactly where it should’ve stayed. Marines with big guns, monsters on Mars and yet somehow it manages to feel like a discount knock off of its own game.

It’s loud, gory, and gloriously over-the-top, just like a good fragfest should be. Karl Urban brings gritty intensity, while The Rock (before he was Dwayne Johnson) goes full beast mode in one of his most brutal early roles. The film knows exactly what it is — a no-apologies, sci-fi action rampage. And that first-person shooter scene? A straight-up love letter to gamers. It’s cheesy, yes. But it delivers the monsters, guns, and Mars-based mayhem we signed up for. Not high art — just high adrenaline. For fans of the franchise, it’s a cult classic that doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Hell has never looked this fun.
