The horror elements in this film are excellent, and the cinematography is top-notch. It feels like watching The Lord of the Rings. I gave this movie an 8.5/10, and I gave Millie Bobby Brown a 9/10. Damsel (2024 Netflix) is such a good dark fantasy horror film. Why isn't anyone talking about it?

I’m generally not a fan of Netflix Original movies, as streaming platform originals often feel like cheap copies of major box office hits; you could definitely say this film draws inspiration from Game of Thrones. Still, Millie Bobby Brown looks great in the role and does a good job holding the film together. 3.5/5 🐉⚔️

- Kevin Ward1. juli 2025Anytime I see Millie Bobby Brown or Finn Wolfhard, et al in anything, I’m reminded that Stranger Things somehow still hasn’t concluded yet. I didn’t like this all that much, but I have to recognize that my wife and kids enjoyed it quite a bit. I felt like the first hour dragged incredibly. Robin Wright and Angela Bassett are remarkable casting choices but they feel mostly wasted. Love Shohreh Aghdashloo, is similarly an inspired casting choice. Iconic voice is a perfect fit for the dragon. Decent family movie night movie, but not one I really care to ever watch again.
