Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar) og Sebastian (Ryan Phillipe), to rige manipulerende teenage-stedsøskende fra Manhattens overklasse, udtænker i "Sex Games" en djævelsk plan. Det er sommerferie og Kathryn er blevet vraget af kæresten til fordel for den uskyldige Cecilie. Vild af hævntørst, udfordrer hun Sebastian til at ødelægge Cecilie ved at gøre hende til en billig tøs. Men Sebastian har fået øje på et langt bedre bytte. Cruel Intentions is one of the greatest romance films of all time. The film has an interesting and evil premise that will hook you in immediately. The cast is amazing in this film with all of them delivering incredible performances. The characters are kind of unlikeable but by the end become very loveable characters. The film is actually pretty intense by the end. The film also has a very heartbreaking ending that will leave you in tears. So overall this is an absolute classic masterpiece that is one of the greatest romance/Thriller movies of all time.

This movie is cruel, sweet, erotic, and thrilling in a way that few films can ever be. With a story that holds up over repeat viewings, playing with morality and delivering some great points from start to finish. If you don't mind racy thrillers, this is a great watch.

Twisted story aside, the drama and sexiness are rampant. The girls were great in this and well picked. Protagonist didn't redeem himself.

The definition of a (very hot) mess. Funny and dramatic for half of its runtime, before crashing and burning just like Kathryn herself, and the script and direction is to blame. Still, very funny and sexy in the first half before becoming unintentionally funny and depressing in the end. One of the best girl-girl kiss scenes and close-up love-making scenes in cinema. Great photography and a fantastic time capsule pop soundtrack, and a pretty great score.
