- Callum28. december 2025⭐⭐⭐ – Banging Lanie – Familiar beats, softer edges. This is another entry squarely in the teen sex-comedy lane, and it doesn’t pretend otherwise. The setup is familiar, the trajectory is easy to see coming, and if you’re hoping for the genre to suddenly reinvent itself, this isn’t the film that’s going to surprise you. Where it does differentiate itself slightly is in tone. Rather than going all-in on shock value or relentless crudeness, it opts for something a bit lighter and more good-natured. The humour is gentler, the characters feel less like walking punchlines, and there’s a conscious effort to give the story some emotional grounding instead of treating everything as a joke delivery system. That restraint works in its favour. The film feels refreshingly unaggressive, and while the laughs aren’t frequent or particularly sharp, the overall experience is pleasant enough. It’s the kind of movie that doesn’t demand much from you, but also doesn’t insult your intelligence while it’s passing the time. It still doesn’t break new ground, and once it’s over there’s not much reason to revisit it. But while it’s on, it’s easy to sit with, mildly charming, and just meaningful enough to rise above total forgettability. Light, undemanding, and agreeable, even if it fades quickly once the credits roll. 🥤 A cold lemonade — light, refreshing, and gone before it ever overstays its welcome.
