The title refers to the U.S. Army's former "MOS" (job code) for a combat cameraman. The story follows a unit of American G.I.s in Vietnam, all with different backgrounds and motives for being there, through the lens of his camera.

I first saw this movie when I was a teenager. To my young eyes this movie seemed disturbingly real. In fact, more real than any other movie I had ever seen. The premise is unique since it's shot from the perspective of a reporter, making you feel almost like you're a soldier in the field acting as part of the platoon. However, the acting, dialog, and the plot is "so-so" making everything feel scripted and slightly off. This movie has a place in your collection if you like Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, or other Vietnam era combat movies, but I don't think it holds up as well as those movies.
