Poslední mise Johna Tavnera je odcestovat do Íránu a zabránit jaderné hrozbě. Kvůli tomu ale je jeho mise "neoficiální", což mu nezaručuje zrovna moc bezpečí. Jeho krycí práce je zaměstnanec na ropné farmě, na které se ale musí vyrovnat s každodenní byrokracií, nekompetencí, a sledem katastrof, které ohrožují jeho misi.
