- PhysicalMedia4Life3. září 2026The whole twist regarding which one of our characters turned out to be actually Leatherface; was unforgettable in not a shocking way, but in a highly laughable way. They made the whole look, size & frame of one of the other characters, to the point where they made it such a red-herring; that it was blatantly obvious, that it wasn't going to be him, that was going to be Leatherface. That for me is the biggest disappointment of this film. But outside of that there are a lot of things to like and to be fair it does have its moments. However Leatherface isn't a top-tier Texas Chainsaw movie, it's very mid. It's not a catastrophic dumpster fire, but its not a great Texas Chainsaw film either. If I was to do a ranking on this franchise, I would have it placed somewhere in the middle. My Personal Ratings/Scores for Leatherface 2017 is a 5/10 & ⭐️⭐️ & a Half Stars.
- Carter18. listopadu 2025Leatherface is another failed attempt at making an origin story for an iconic character. The film has some good ideas, like I do think it’s fascinating to give Leatherface an origin story, but when it’s done in a film like this, it gets me scratching my head. The film has some terrible dialogue. The Characters are all so terribly written, and they are so mean, it’s hard to rout for anyone in this film. They only have one good character in here, but the way her character goes at the end is just stupid. The twist of who becomes Leatherface is painfully obvious, and I hate what they do with him and how he becomes Leatherface. The ending is so dark, and makes you feel gross inside, and the ending overall is terrible. So overall not the worst entry in the franchise, but still a really bad Prequel.
