Slow Horses Ratings & Reviews
- stevencaceres245June 26, 2025You will absolutely fall in love with Gary Oldman again and again. His character is flawed, hostile and brilliant. They’re not afraid to kill off characters. And episode after episode. It is just a fun ride. We look forward to watching these. A great spy thriller series about the underdogs
- Tony ENovember 11, 2025A couple of years ago, I quit watching Season 1, a few episodes in, because I didn't like the characters. I gave it another chance and pushed through the oddness of the show. I am glad I did. It's actually a really good show and you learn to love the characters for all the reasons you disliked them at first. Gary Oldman is perfect for this show and is hilarious with his wit and lack of care in what people think. One thing that drives me crazy throughout all episodes is MI5 apparently doesn't issue guns to their agents and everybody else has them. Seems counterproductive. Then again, I wouldn't issue these characters guns either. Also, they play the theme song WAY too much! It becomes irritating to hear it over and over even during the espisodes. It's definitely a binge-worthy show and you are eager for the next season.
- jam7410March 27, 2025All time. Gary Oldman is awesome, and it's beautiully threaded.
- K SmithyNovember 9, 2025What started off as 'wtf am I watching' Turned into I can't wait for the next season... Every season improves and I'm here for it now.. Loved it thus far...
- makdelartNovember 4, 2025The phenomenon of this series is astonishing: each subsequent season maintains the same high standard. I love it.
- parcolanJuly 2, 2025Very very good 👌🏻
- Coops_71October 30, 2025Who needs a gun to clear a room when you've got Lambs bodily functions after a few drams and a doggy curry the night before! Brilliant show.
- AdamOctober 30, 2025Am excellent series that doesn't get caught up in its own excellence.
- Kraine OpasenJune 20, 2025“A sharp, savage, and darkly hilarious take on the spy game.” Forget sleek suits and shaken martinis — Slow Horses throws you into the grimy back alleys of British intelligence, where washed-up spies, bad coffee, and worse tempers collide. And it's glorious. Gary Oldman is phenomenal — a walking disaster of sarcasm, brilliance, and flatulence, leading MI5’s most dysfunctional rejects. But make no mistake: behind the humor and self-loathing lies serious bite. The show balances its razor-sharp wit with tense shootouts, corpses piling up, and good old Cold War paranoia — including KGB ghosts, Russian schemes, and political backstabbing. It’s clever. It’s brutal. It’s weirdly heartwarming. And the writing? Wickedly British. Every insult lands like a punch, every twist surprises, and every episode leaves you grinning — or gasping. Spy thrillers rarely get this fun and this smart. A hidden gem that deserves all the praise.
- mr_chumblesOctober 21, 2025Slow horses has gone from strength to strength.
- CallumOctober 29, 2025⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (out of 5) Slow Horses – The other side of Her Majesty’s Secret Service: where spies go to rot, not to shine. “Slow Horses” is the anti–James Bond — a sardonic, razor-sharp glimpse into the forgotten backrooms of espionage, where the glamour has long since been scraped off the walls. These are not tuxedoed heroes sipping martinis; they’re the bureaucratic ghosts of MI5, filing reports and cleaning up the messes so Bond can keep his tux spotless. Led by Gary Oldman’s gloriously dishevelled Jackson Lamb, the team at Slough House represents everything the Bond franchise politely ignores — failure, fatigue, and the unvarnished drudgery of real intelligence work. It’s the council-worker version of MI5: the ones down in the sewers making sure the toilets flush before the spies at the ball make their speeches. The writing is brilliantly bleak, laced with British wit and weary humour that turns mediocrity into art. It’s a show where loyalty is begrudging, victory is messy, and survival is the only real success. Compared to Bond’s world of Aston Martins and high-stakes seduction, Slow Horses is all nicotine-stained windows and bad coffee — but it’s infinitely more human for it. Gritty, funny, and utterly compelling, this is espionage stripped of illusion, where even heroes smell faintly of despair and takeaway curry.
- ThPOctober 19, 2025Great TV show. Exactly the opposite of James Bond movies
- plexideanSeptember 28, 2025its a good series. defenitely worth the watch. the characters unfortunately all get a bit annoying..;.especially from season 4 on. it's like their main traits are being annoying. and that's annoying.
- PhantastikPhantomSeptember 25, 2025Great series, so far! I'm loving every minute of it!
- psike64October 10, 2024Da vedere assolutamente. Non è una serie prettamente di azione, ma il protagonista Jackson Lamb è un personaggio iconico :)
