Silver Streak Ratings & Reviews
- Mister ArnAugust 4, 2025“Silver Streak” is a film that straddles genres, part comedy, part action-thriller, part buddy movie, with a dash of romance. Its claim to fame is the first onscreen pairing of Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor, who doesn’t appear until halfway through the film. The story is outlandish, but that’s part of its charm. It’s less concerned with realism and more focused on escalating absurdity. The romantic subplot feels more obligatory than essential, but the tension and humor eventually take over and keep it all watchable.
- Michael SurberOctober 7, 2025A classic film that benefits greatly from the natural chemistry between all the lead actors. Wilder and Pryor have never been funnier. Even though it is from the 1970s, it still holds up as a thrilling, comedic force of nature.
