It's still a well-crafted story with strong performances, but the slower pace and softer edge make it slightly less gripping. A respectable 7.5/10, but a step down from the first season’s brilliance. As a whole, the series showcases Mike Flanagan’s talent for atmospheric storytelling and complex characters. Whether it’s ghosts or grief, "The Haunting of Hill House" knows how to haunt in more ways than one.
