Alyokhin, a former military doctor, is an obstetrician from God. During the Kosovo war, he helped women in labor, becoming godfather to hundreds of Serbian and Albanian children. But in peacetime, other laws apply. In the hope of winning the Nobel Prize, Alyokhin's ambitious colleagues embark on a scientific and medical experiment. His goal is to help give birth to the child of an unknown woman lying in a coma. Alyokhin agrees to participate, but not for the sake of fame or money. All that matters to him is the child, who needs his godfather's help.
