Added to that is the significant focus on the overall state of the world, which I also find incredibly interesting. So, it is definitely not a generic action anime, but rather one backed by a solid story. It’s missing that final little spark to earn a full 5 stars, but all in all, I can recommend this anime without hesitation.
- null2026年3月28日Fire Force is a show roughly on par with a deeply insightful character and narrative driven story like Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Despite my 2 star rating, you owe it to yourself to watch this one. The pacing is a bit awkward at times. There is a healthy amount of plot armor. It's overwhelmingly well written and the animation is fantastic. Which brings us to the reason for the low rating; Tamaki Kotatsu as a character serves the sole purpose of providing cheap fan service. Without ruining anything, despite backlash from reviewers and the fan base, an entire episode in season 3 was dedicated to redeeming her reputation as a weak character. If every scene with Tamaki was removed from the series, the series would be objectively better and more impactful. Continuing to blatantly force the juvenile and frankly cringe gimmick of her clothing disappearing during conflicts on the audience is absurd. Whoever wrote these scenes needs serious help.
