- FranBiz2025年4月21日I think is a fine loose adaptation. Keywords is loose adaptation. I kinda liked the cast. I liked Scout Taylor Compton as Lady. I know her for playing Laurie Strode in the Halloween remakes from Rob Zombie. However, not a fan of Lady using profanity. Also the roles of the she viper and Dante's mom is voiced by Fuu from Samurai Champloo A huge bonus points goes to the shapeshifting demon. Its BATES from Clock Tower Ghost Head. Most people know the actor as the voice from Ghostface in the Scream movies, so i flipped When i heard him. I was like that's Bates. Ha. I also like the Capcom Easter eggs like mentioning Raccoon City, Street Fighter 2 arcade, and Mega Man figure. Speaking of Capcom, the agency Darkcom which could be a nod to Capcom or a rhyme to Arkham. Definitely not a coincidence.... Also shapeshifter cop looks like Leon Kennedy Now I find it weird that the word "Makai" is used in this adaptation, especially since it takes place in America, but I always thought DMC3 story line was very similar to Yu Yu Hakusho season 4.... Which is breaking the barrier from the demon realm or Makai... Its the same plot.... You know... Good demons. Bad demons. I'm sure there's other anime that used that idea too like Inuyasha which is also has a full fledged demon father and sons who inherited his will to save or destroy the human race.... Also spoilers... ||Yusuke from YYH was also a great demon who fought his own. ||Wink wink Oooooo another thing to mention. The guy who plays the president, the cowboy guy. He is voiced by Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite... However I know him from old 80s horror flicks like the wolfman in Monster Squad and Fright Night 2.... I kinda like the alice in wonderland backstory, but I already knew where this was going the moment the kid went to portal. You're going to give me an Obito back story from Naruto. Sighs... If you don't know the context, its basically a pure soul gets tainted and becomes the bad guy. I get the message though. 2 youths that grew up together will defend opposite sides which is Lady and Rabbit guy. Also this series had a new twist with Lady's family affair. Not only is it mom and pops, but bunny guy made it personal for her. I bet the writer really thought he was coming up with something clever with a big twist, but no. It's a common troupe ESPECIALLY in anime which by the way this isn't an anime. Its an Murican Animation Lady's flashback feels like those old AMVs on Youtube back in the days. Its whatever As far as music.... Its whatever. The hardcore action is ok, but the emotional parts feels too emo to me Last, but not least..... Dante. I thought JYB would be distracting, but honestly I didn't mind it since this is a different new story. Also Enzo getting impaled to get Dante motivated. Totally not a Krillin dying and Goku going super saiyan moment, right? Now I will admit there is some cringe. That I can't ignore, but as a casual point of view. I see it as a fine and fun watch. Don't take it serious to the video game lore Also Kenny Omega makes a minor role as a disguise as a human when Lady and her team is first introduced
