- I didn't hear a lot about this movie other than it was really good and that it was one of the best horror movies of 2025. I don't know about all that. It was a solid movie for sure but I couldn't tell you if there was an actual scary part about the movie. Acting was good and the story line was unique and had me engaged but again, wasn't really what I'd call scary. Maybe shock factor was a big thing for it but I expected more and seemed to be overhyped.

- Patrick D.2026年9月26日This is overrated. It was good and I give it credit for being unique, but I don't think it's all it's cracked up to be. First off, it's not really a horror movie. There are some unsettling parts, but it's more of a thriller than a horror movie. Second, I think this film could've toned back the different perspectives and focused on two or three of them them, max. The cop, the drug addict, the principal all could've been cut and focused on Julia Garner's character, Josh Brolin's, and the kid. The reason being is that there isn't enough time for any character development. You get a little taste of some character depth with Garner's and Brolin's characters with how they're coping with the situation, but they don't do anything with it. Probably because there wasn't enough time to. Third, the reveal is weak, and the person you would expect to be bring the charisma in the the third act doesn't deliver. I don't think the script really did enough with the motive on this one. It's too ambiguous. I hear they're going to do a prequel so I guess there's that, but this movie needed to have a better resolution. Lastly, I'll leave it on a positive note. I appreciate the original idea and the interesting script. I wasn't bored watching this movie. It was one of those films that has you going "okay, let's see where this goes" almost the entire time. I'd probably give it 2-1/2 stars, but I bumped it up due to this.
- Martin SB2025年10月11日I wanted to go into detail with a review but i could write for an hour describing what i loved about this movie. Mise en Scene and Directing is sublime, innovative, and utilizes immersive Camera shots and angles of framing, - seriously creative, captivating plot and point of view/character story arc/perspective sequences that tie together fantastically. Great casting and brilliant acting from all. Amazing and original, keeps you riveted throughout. I would be surprised if this isnt a worldwide hit. It will have you thinking 'wow' throughout with the excellent directing work and outside of the box ideas, let alone the gripping plot, with a fantastic finale. I would use the term masterpiece or at least close to it. 9.2/10
- What_A_Jinx2026年9月24日I'm not sure what I preferred about this movie. The fact that most of the characters in this movie are well written and all properly likeable and unlikable, like regular humans. Maybe it's the well made bleak atmosphere that let you go "man nothing good is about to happen". Or the absolute weird villain and amazing over the top ending. But I believe that this movie deserves it's place amongst best modern horror movies along Obsession, Hereditary and Bring it back.
- Carter2026年9月18日I use to think original concepts were done and we would just be getting the same premise and a bunch of sequels, well after seeing Weapons I now have hope for original ideas. Positives: - The premise of the film is one of the most intriguing premises I have ever heard or seen of - The movie is a true original film within every second of runtime - The cast is super stacked with everybody giving great performances - The characters are all so intriguing with their different motivations and decisions. The film splits up into chapters with each chapter showcasing the perspective of a specific character - The jump scares and intense sequences are definitely active - The gore is very brutal and may cause you to look away at times - The movie is such a thrill ride with so many twists and turns that you don’t see coming - The score is very eerie and unsettling - The overall story is almost executed to perfection Mixed: - The movie introduces a lot of ideas and weird things that do feel like they need to be touched upon a bit but this didn’t affect the movie too much for me - The movie is also surprisingly funny at times Negatives: - The opening sequence of the movie is a lot of exposition that is just thrown in your face and I feel like they should have taken their time to set up the movie to make it feel more creepy and disturbing - The last minute or so of the film is also super rushed that has a bit of a monologue before quickly ending; I feel more loose ends had to be tied up before closing the book - There were points where I felt a character wasn’t getting enough screen time and it needed more Overall I loved Weapons and everything it brought to the table. This is why I love movies.
