First off, spectacular direction, but that’s par for the course at this point. I totally forgot that this STARS horror maestro Dario Argento!!! Wild stuff. The wheezing sounds from his character weee way too good. He killed First act can easily apply to almost any mental illness. As someone with major depressive disorder, I was uneasy in how seen I felt. I see clearly now how Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles inspired Gaspar, if I hadn’t already! Never knew where / when the scene would begin / end so it made the abrupt scene changes all the more discombobulating. The exceptional long takes and camerawork / editing certainly help! This house is a maze !!! Kind of reminds me of Sentimental Value.
