I love this. it had carnage as the villain. he was great. woody harelson did a great job on acting for carnage. Tom Hardy kept up the magic for venom in the movies. Anne was really good in this movie too. the movie overall was just awsome

    Very good and fun

Absolutely horrendous movie! The jokes and acting in general are awful and the action looks super cheap. And we finally get to see Carnage and they ruined him completely. Stay very far away from this!

Leans even harder into the goofy side, which honestly works more often than it doesn’t. It’s fast, chaotic, and kinda feels like it knows exactly how ridiculous it is. The back-and-forth is still the best part, even if everything else feels a bit rushed. Not as fresh as before, but still a fun watch if you don’t take it too seriously.

A fast, loud, and totally unhinged sequel. Eddie & Venom argue like a married couple on caffeine. Carnage looks cool but never gets the depth he deserves. Fun in bursts, okay overall, but nothing truly sticks

It was what it needed to be. Quirky over the top action.

Venom: let there be carnage introduces a perfectly cast villain, some solid action, and interesting story, and they did all this good stuff in such short time.

My quick rating - 6.3/10. A bit late here, and this one is already available on Blu-ray (click the poster below if you are interested). While the first Venom was quite a step away from the general superhero flicks that Marvel was giving us, this one takes an even stranger turn. The first Venom introduced us to a creature that needed to communicate with its host (again played wonderfully by Tom Hardy). This creature is really more of a monster that basically eats people's heads for snacks. And as violent as that all sounds, they have also again remained under PG-13, and that was a huge gripe the first time around for true fans of the comic. But the first movie made up for this lack of bloodshed and rage by looking incredible and having an interesting story to hold your attention. Here in part two, things look even better, but the only story to be had that was worth anything was the integration of Venom with Hardy and the constant attempts to get along in the same body. This does lead to some entertaining moments of course, but the things such as the bad guy (underused Woody Harrelson) and the romance that they allude to before blowing it off as a mere afterthought. Naomie Harris also plays a gifted woman named Shriek extremely well, but is hardly explored enough. Quite a few parts like this are just thrown at you and then brushed away so the CGI can jump in. Maybe it just seemed that way because the last act of this one looks truly amazing. I would think you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who will not be impressed by the visuals here, but all the human drama that was vital to making the first movie that good is now comedic interludes and vehicles to the next CGI scene. This is more pointing out the bad, while hopefully, you do catch the good. Even being a fan of the comic, I am still fine with them toning it down to make it a bit more mainstream. I still had a good time with this one, and I hate to do this, but just as the end of the first one gave you a little morsel to look forward to leading up to this movie, the end and bonus scene literally boost the ratings in anticipation of what is in store. Hopefully, you can watch without knowing what I am talking about since I am not going to spoil it. But for any fan of the Marvel Universe overall, it is a BIG teaser of things to come. If you don't know and are in the discord, I am sure I'll be hearing from ya LOL. Enjoy.

A decent sequel, still quite funny.

A Chaotic but Fun Sequel The sequel amps up the action and humor, with Tom Hardy once again shining as Eddie Brock and Venom. Woody Harrelson’s Carnage brings menace, but the film’s short runtime makes the story feel rushed. While the CGI battles are exciting, the plot lacks depth. Still, the banter between Eddie and Venom keeps it entertaining. Rating: 6.5/10 – A fun, fast-paced ride for Venom fans, but could’ve been more fleshed out.

I just watched Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and I give it 4 out of 5 stars. This movie is just straight-up chaos—in the best way possible. If you liked the first Venom, this one takes all the weird stuff and cranks it up even more. It’s loud, wild, full of ridiculous action, and somehow still has a lot of heart. It doesn’t try to be deep or overly serious—it just wants to entertain, and it totally succeeds. Tom Hardy once again carries the whole thing as Eddie Brock and Venom, and honestly, their relationship is the real heart of the movie. It’s not just about a guy with an alien living in his body—it’s a full-on dysfunctional buddy comedy. Eddie is constantly frustrated, Venom is constantly hungry and dramatic, and their back-and-forth is hilarious. They argue like an old married couple, and it’s honestly some of the funniest stuff I’ve seen in a superhero movie. The movie wastes no time getting into it. From the very beginning, it’s fast-paced, full of energy, and doesn’t slow down. The runtime is short, which actually works in its favor. It doesn’t drag or overcomplicate anything—it just gives you a wild ride from start to finish. Some scenes feel a little rushed, but it keeps the momentum going, and that makes it fun to watch. Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady, aka Carnage, is exactly what you’d expect—totally over-the-top, unhinged, and loving every second of it. He leans into the craziness and makes Carnage feel genuinely dangerous and unpredictable. The dynamic between him and Venom creates a fun contrast: Venom’s loud but (kind of) lovable, and Carnage is pure chaos and destruction. The action scenes are slick and full of wild effects, especially when Carnage is doing his thing. The way the symbiotes move and fight is crazy to watch, with all the tendrils, slams, and sharp teeth flying everywhere. It’s loud and chaotic, but in a way that works for the tone of the movie. You’re not watching for realism—you’re watching two alien monsters beat the crap out of each other, and it delivers. The humor is a big part of what makes this movie work, and it leans way more into the comedy than most superhero films. Venom gets a lot of the best lines, and the way he reacts to the world around him is hilarious. There’s even a scene where he’s doing something completely unexpected in public, and I was honestly laughing out loud. It’s weird, but that’s what makes it great. The story itself is pretty simple, and that’s really the only thing holding it back from being a perfect score. It gets the job done, and the emotional beats between Eddie and Venom are solid, but the plot is kind of just a vehicle for the action and character moments. Which is fine, but a little more depth wouldn’t have hurt. I give Venom: Let There Be Carnage 4 out of 5 stars because it knows exactly what it is and doesn’t try to be anything else. It’s fast, funny, full of energy, and delivers exactly what fans of the first movie want—with even more insanity and style. Overall Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a loud, wild, hilarious ride that doubles down on everything that made the first one fun. It’s a crazy comic book movie that’s proud of being weird—and that’s why I liked it so much.
