- Fletch F. Fletch2025年10月24日Too much walking
- Quinn Cramer1天前Gay love will never win in the media
- PlexSushi2天前Meh. Interesting enough to keep watching to see who dies next, but not really worth watching overall. Just about some people walking, each with different reasons to walk and different wishes.
- hadmatter2025年10月5日The Long Walk (2025) channels the tension and survival stakes of The Hunger Games but grounds them in a far more believable world. It’s gritty, haunting, and uncomfortably plausible — the kind of story that makes you wonder if society could really come to this. What sets it apart is its heart. Amid the desperation and endurance, compassion and empathy still flicker through the darkness, reminding you that even in humanity’s worst moments, decency tries to survive. A powerful, thought-provoking film that lingers long after the credits roll.

- Walter Jospeh Kovacs2025年10月28日What a grave metaphor for the rat race that is the American Dream. Everything is there from poverty and desperation, the lottery of fortune, the blind obedience to social doctrine and the overarching threat of violence from the military. The police state depicted in the movie is very poignant in a time of authoritarianism in America where masked ICE agents are grabbing people on the basis of skin colour and violence is used to enforce political ideologies uninhibited by the law or even just human decency, Of course the eye cannot see itself and thus this will be wasted on most Americans as just another movie "with cool guns and sh!t" but time again movies like this and 'Civil War' are holding up a mirror to US Imperialism and fascist policies.
- eyeofthetornado2025年10月21日In The Long Walk, Stephen King crafts a dystopian ordeal that exposes how the illusion of choice sustains systems of control. On the surface, the boys choose to participate in the Walk, but once it begins, every step is dictated by rigid rules, constant surveillance, and the threat of death. Their supposed freedom quickly dissolves into obedience. The march becomes a microcosm of dictatorship and capitalism, systems that promise opportunity while trapping individuals in cycles of exhaustion and fear. The “choice” to walk mirrors society’s illusion of free will under oppressive power: you can play the game, but the game is designed to break you. Yet amid this despair, the walkers discover something the system cannot control, friendship and empathy. These fleeting connections remind them of their humanity, even as the structure around them insists they’re nothing more than competitors. Ultimately, The Long Walk shows that the greatest cruelty isn’t physical death, it’s the false promise of freedom that keeps people walking toward it.
- OdinTheRavenKing2026年5月7日## Synopsis A group of young men compete in a contest known as "The Long Walk", where they walk to be the last one walking or be executed, all to keep order. ## Review You would think that a movie about people walking for days would be boring as all get out. However, this is the complete opposite of what you get from this movie. It is full of real emotion and energy for a simple premise of a movie. The main character sounds so much like a coworker of mine that if I closed my eyes, I would place money it was hit. The cadence and the voice itself match my coworker so well. More importantly, they fit the character. An idealist that is there for a specific purpose. Not just because they won the "lottery," but for something more intrinsic to the story. There isn't a person or character in the movie that I felt didn't make sense, or did do a great job. I will say that Mark Hamill is so weirdly aggressive in this movie as compared to the rest that it almost seems out of place. However, if you through in a dude who feels he owns the world, than it works. There is a lot of brutal violence in this. I typically save this for the "Parental Rating" section, but it is a lot. Having recently watched [[Midsommar]] on this work trip, that review will come out soon, I am not sure which has a more brutal death scene. It can be difficult to watch. ## [My Rating] I was interested in this movie from the trailers. Mainly for the review and conversation it could have. I am not a big Stephen King person, but I understand how good his work is. This movie is outstanding, and I am curious how people say that the book is even better. It just might be the horror version ofThe Martian and it's book counterpart The Martian]]. As I have discussed this movie with the other host of the podcast and coworkers, I had made one state. "This is a 9 of a movie, that if you made an argument for 10, I don't know if I could disagree." The only reason it isn't a 10 is that the pacing, pun unintended, can be slow. Slow enough that you think that it needs to speed up and then something crazy happens. It is a 9. ## [Parental Rating] In a single song voice, you'd have the statement "Hell na. Na na na na nah." Hopefully you know that song. There is an incredible amount of language and violence. The violence is extreme and will make you shake your head in surprise. My dad would be out relatively quickly from the language. My mom would be out for that same reason. If she made it through that, then the first death she would turn it off. Rejected by both.
- juliencharette12025年10月22日It’s… a long walk… indeed… literally walking… and talking… for 2 hours… Someone occasionally gets shot, the ending is bad and uneventful, no twist and no payoff. I could’ve walked for 2 hours in circles in my bedroom and i would’ve enjoyed myself much more. Waste of time !
- zotflix2026年5月7日Cooper Hoffman and David Johnson are easily the best part of this performance. Hamill is in this but his ham up acting of The Major is more cringe than scary. Unfortunately that's about it. If he had not had his story generator write this it never would have been written at all with his lack of imagination. Typical Stephen King movie. Great premise... had to cant stick the landing one bit.
- Wesley B2026年4月29日Like Squid game but being the last one walking. Does drag a bit in the middle but has some good characters that keep you interested until the eventual conclusion.
- neuroparadox2025年10月22日One of the best dystopian movies about a road since The Road.
- bSHU19892025年10月25日I have never been this viscerally affected by a movie. I’m a huge King fan and I was looking forward to seeing this - but I don’t think anyone can prepare you for this. A MUST WATCH.
- Timeless Cinema2025年9月18日Dark story aside, the repetitious moments takes away from the great acting & characters. The ending is a bit lackluster too. Overall, it was ok.
- mrx92025年10月21日Film of the year
