- Callum2026年1月1日½⭐ – The Last Five Years – A concept that sings past itself. This is a jumpy, fractured story told from multiple points of view and delivered as a musical — and unfortunately, that structure does it no favours. The back-and-forth timeline feels more disorienting than insightful, and instead of deepening the emotional impact, it just makes the whole thing harder to connect to. Normally, I’m a fan of Anna Kendrick. Her singing voice is solid here, and that’s about the only consistently positive thing I can say. Beyond that, there’s very little to grab onto. None of the songs rise to anything resembling must-hear material, so you can’t even recommend it on soundtrack value alone. For a musical, that’s a pretty serious problem. Emotionally, it never landed for me. The characters are difficult to engage with, the perspective shifts don’t add clarity, and the repetition starts to feel grating rather than clever. Instead of watching a relationship unfold, it feels like being trapped inside someone else’s unresolved argument. If you do decide to watch this, I really only have two things to say. A: You were warned. B: Don’t you agree that one play of this film was already two plays too many? ☕ A cold, forgotten coffee — bitter, unsatisfying, and best left unfinished.
