The film leans hard into vintage aesthetics: grainy filters, analog tech and a soundtrack that feels like it was pulled from a forgotten 70's sci-fi vinyl. It’s quirky, heartfelt and occasionally uneven, but that’s part of the charm. The action is minimal, the pacing meanders and the tone swings between satire and sincerity. But when it clicks, it really clicks. There’s a surprising emotional core beneath the pastel chaos, about family, identity and the cost of being “special.” The Hyperions is a lo-fi superhero story with heart, style, and just enough weirdness to earn its spot.
