The action sequences are exciting and well staged, and the film captures the spirit of determination and resourcefulness that made the 1st Special Service Force so formidable. Though not a perfectly accurate historical account, The Devil’s Brigade remains a thoroughly enjoyable tribute to an extraordinary military unit.
