茜茜 Ratings & Reviews
- adam31992026年1月7日Brought to you by Screen Australia and ACT Government, that is Australian taxpayers money. Are you surprised then to find a woke piece of crap with bad acting, confected directing, awkward scripting but lots of rainbow motifs and 'true' diversity. Just awful. People should be fired.
- N82024年10月10日I loved this movie. I thought the lead actress, Aisha Dee was amazing and I couldn't take my eyes off her. She was super charming and did a great job making me cheer for her, even though... I probably shouldn't have been cheering for her. The other characters were insufferable, but that was by design. The kills were good with the occasional over-the-top gore keeping it fun and not-too-serious, the CGI blood was rough at times though. I also quite liked the subtle commentary about what goes on beneath the mask of social media influencers and never really knowing what's beneath the surface. I like how that framed the story but didn't occupy too much screen time. I loved this movie a lot. I don't know where it falls but it's definitely somewhere on my top horror movies of the year.
- Monkey See! Monkey Review!!2025年10月23日TLDR -> A Twisted Tale of Identity, Revenge, and Redemption. Good Watch!! I went into Sissy knowing only that it was labeled as horror—and I’m glad I did. What initially drew me in wasn’t the scares, but the surprisingly layered character development. The film explores themes of mental and emotional wellness, and as someone who values mental health advocacy, I appreciated how it highlighted the deep connection between mind and body. At first, I wasn’t sure where the story was headed. The protagonist seemed innocent, even fragile—a classic victim archetype. But as the plot unfolded, it became clear that appearances were deceiving. The narrative cleverly flips expectations, revealing a darker, more complex side to the character that made her journey all the more compelling. One thing that stood out was the cast’s representation of the LGBTQ+ community. From my perspective, it’s all love—everyone deserves to live authentically and be respected. That said, I found it ironic that a group often advocating for acceptance didn’t extend that same grace to the main character. Their treatment of her made it easy to root for the underdog, even as her actions grew more extreme. This isn’t a film packed with jump scares or nightmare fuel, but it delivers on visceral satisfaction. The gore is intense and, in some cases, cathartic—especially when certain characters meet their end in ways that feel like poetic justice. Of course, no one’s saying bullying should lead to murder, but the film taps into that primal sense of vindication when the tables turn. While Sissy isn’t perfect, it’s a bold entry in the new wave of horror-slashers. The acting is solid, the plot keeps you guessing, and the ending ties it all together with a punch. If you’re into psychological horror with a splash of blood and a twist of social commentary, this one’s worth a watch.
- Niztradamus2025年7月15日Awful... Just awful. A bunch of horrible people get killed, sometimes on accident, sometimes on purpose, by another horrible person. The obligatory gays, slay queen and all of that woke shit is there too. A full star only because the cinematography and audio are alright. Other than that it deserves a zero star rating. Save yourselves the time. If you want a movie in a similar style but much better watch Becky or Companion.
- Kevin Ward2025年7月6日nearly all of the characters were annoying except for maybe Cecily….maybe. In a way this felt a bit like Bodies, Bodies, Bodies in that regard, except with Aussie accents and the body count doesn’t start piling up until the third act. Up until this third act, I probably would have given this a 2.5. Thankfully, the finale does deliver on some pretty good moments satisfying my blood thirst. There’s a vehicular homicide that I wasn’t quite expecting in a film like this (but is actually setup by Chekov’s kangaroo). There’s also some scissor action (always a plus for #slashersaturday). And I really did like the ending of how everything resolved. Ultimately, this is not a great slasher (would probably give it a 2 or 2.5 if we’re rating purely on a slasher scale). But the finale did bring everything together to a point where I enjoyed the film overall enough for a 3 or 3.5.
