- gnrrain2025年12月23日Really wanted to like this. David Howard Thornton is great as always which is something you can't say for a majority of the cast. The gore effects were very good, practical, and the movie might be worth watching for that alone. However. The acting, the compositing with the small mouse and normal height actors and actresses, the mouse puppets they used, the script these poor people were given to pull from (the biggest problem and pitfall this movie wants to repeatedly throw itself into is the absolutely ridiculous reactions that people are having to things they see - with the bridge scene with 4 or so men being the worst offender), the predictability of the overly used plot, the ending you see a mile away, the post credits scene you saw in your head before it played, etc - all really poorly done. The only originality on display, and it's barely original, are some of the deaths. Most notably a heavy machinery scene that I thought was pretty well done. Only worth watching if you want to see decent practical effect kills, otherwise, avoid.
- Big Hulky2025年8月29日Creamboat. This movie is bad. You know this already. You've seen the poster. The movie is 20 minutes too long. -> The scenes are just bloated with walking, slow camera tracking, waiting for a jump scare, etc. This movie would be an F tier in the horror category. -> It is not scary. The kills cannot even compare to Thornton's Terrifier. Even with the mindset that this movie is meant to be a joke, it's still bad. There is nothing enjoy about this movie.
- Hipster ZOMBIE2025年5月5日If you’ve ever watched Disney’s Steamboat Willie and thought, “This needs more blood,” Screamboat is the unhinged nightmare you never knew you wanted. Most of these Disney/horror mashups have been unwatchable however the team behind the beloved “Terrifier” series walk the line between hilarious and absurd. Let’s talk gore: Screamboat is drenched in it. There’s a scene where a guy gets flattened by a giant enchanted broom (yes, like Fantasia). Another victim gets their head popped like a balloon by two gloved hands that look suspiciously like they came from a cheerful rodent’s costume closet. Subtle? No. Hilarious and horrifying? Absolutely. The film doesn’t shy away from its Disney inspirations—it swan-dives into them. The killer wears a twisted version of Mickey’s classic outfit, various Disney one-liners said throughout the movie, even a group of party girls named after Disney princesses. The mouse even has Mickey’s iconic laugh. Screamboat isn’t trying to be prestige horror. It knows it’s a trashy, satirical splatterfest and leans into it with cartoonish glee. If Mickey Mouse went on a bender, raided a Spirit Halloween, and filmed a snuff film on a cruise ship—this would be the result. It’s a film so bad that it’s great it’s self awareness.
- John Homen2025年6月3日So here we are again, another spin-off from the public domain hell that Disney's living in. I took a break from Screamboat at what felt like the halfway point of a 4 hour long synder cut edit, but I barely made it 40 minutes in. It's slow, confusing, cheesy gore, and makes the same mistakes the creators of the Popeye movies made. When the physical effects are trash, DONT SHOW THEM. The design of the monster looks like what I can only imagine a dead rat trapped in the lint filter of an industrial dryer for 20 years would resemble. The film is bad. Worse it's boring. Doom scroll your feeds instead of wasting time with this.
- razvancandea2025年6月23日Some people accuse the poohnyerse of taking itself too seriously, and say that it could use some campyness and comedy. This movie is proof that they are wrong. I actually enjoy those movies as the shlock that they are. In contrast, this one was just a cringe fest. I did not find it amusing, nor entertaining and had a really hard time finishing it. I love B horror and find a lot of delight in several bad movies. But this one was just tedious.
- Mike Shulman2025年5月25日This was a tough one for me because I wanted to like it but ultimately it falls flat. It really can't decide what it wants to be. There's times it feels like it's going for horror comedy, and other times it wants you to take it seriously. It just feels disjointed. If they had stayed 100% in the not taking itself seriously area it would have been much better. A few good things... the Disney references were spot on and done well. When they decided to go off the walls with violence that worked well also because it was played purposely over the top. The effects definitely felt hokey at times and the scale of Willy to the humans seemed to randomly change from scene to scene but it wasn't terrible. The acting was decent but the characters were written very one dimensionally and stereotypically. That doesn't work for a horror movie that actually wants to have a plot. There's just not enough meat to this one to recommend it outside of the killls themselves.
