Just kind of wish Soderbergh had directed this and maybe held off on relinquishing directing duties until Ocean’s Nine and Ocean’s Ten. I’ll still cross my fingers and hope those get made at some point. Can’t have enough star studded heist movies in my opinion.
- Zokkiie2026年2月28日It’s a mixed bag. Totally lacks the energy and swagger of the original films — the vibe just isn’t there. The cast is fun, and the heist itself is clever enough to keep things moving, but it never really hits any big highs. The set pieces are clean and there are a few genuinely funny moments, though some characters barely get a chance to do much. It’s satisfying enough by the end, but nothing that sticks with you afterward. All told, it’s a perfectly decent heist movie — light, easy to watch, and enjoyable if you’re just looking for something fun without any fireworks.

Still, this group of women works well together and the chemistry between Blanchett and Bullock is really enjoyable. There are hints at a sequel, perhaps blended with the rest of the Oceans, that to me sounds like it could be extremely funny, in a chaotic way. For now enjoy the 8 you’ll have a good time!
