山之巅 Ratings & Reviews
- RipLinesMan2025年5月31日Bro, Mountainhead is basically what happens when you take Event Horizon (1997), rip out the haunted spaceship, and drop a bunch of emotionally unstable dudes in a bougie mountain lodge during an economic apocalypse. Instead of demons from hell, these guys are getting wrecked by vibes, regret, and way too much introspection. Carell’s like a washed-up version of Sam Neill if he traded space madness for startup trauma, and Schwartzman’s over here acting like a soup-obsessed philosopher. It’s still about losing your mind, just with flannel instead of flight suits. Way less blood, but still totally unhinged. Think Event Horizon for finance bros who’ve seen a therapist once.
- JSalmeron2025年5月31日Could not be more boring. Great cinematography though
- Nookie La La2026年3月31日Had some funny moments, there was a plot, but really; Why bother?
- Sam2025年12月30日half star only for how sick the house was
- Neon Ghloes2025年11月10日This was an episode of The Office from 2036. Michael Scott is finally rich. But no children or wife yet. Ryan Howard is... As per usual and getting his wank sucked my Michael. Andy Bernard is... As per usual, trying to be level headed amongst chaos but still pushed around. And Dwight Schrute was unable to be killed. Seems EXACTLY like an episode of The Office from future present. If you like things, you will like this. If you enjoy movies, you probably won't. But you might. But probably not really. Maybe though! But...... Meh. It's great!
- renderartist2025年6月8日Had potential but went nowhere. It was some kind of Succession inspired tech bro drama, too much talking and very little plot. One of those cheap filler movies that exists to waste time. Sucked. 👎🏼
- adamtar232025年6月1日Very weird concept and movie. It seemed like Modern Family but without the comedy. I’m disappointed Steve picked this movie up. All of his other recent work has been great.
- Cineit.blog2025年10月14日The premise is fantastic: megalomaniacal tech billionaires hide out in a mountain retreat as their AI app sets the world on fire. Unfortunately, the movie completely squanders it. The plot goes nowhere, getting lost in confusing tech jargon and tedious, awkward conversations. While the characters are effectively portrayed as soulless, back-stabbing monsters, the story around them is a convoluted mess with no satisfying point. A huge missed opportunity that turns a brilliant idea into a forgettable and boring film.
- texas3192025年10月2日Steve Carell was Steve Carell. The movie was a different take on tech giants in a funny way. It was an okay movie nothing to write home about. I would say it is a good one and done watch. It will sit in the vault for someone else to enjoy. Be prepared for some dry moments.
- Stephen Dhondt2025年6月8日If you’ve ever had a wet dream where Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg and Tim Cook yap for 90 minutes about committing a coup d’état … this will be your thing. If not, you’re stuck with a satire that’s not nearly satirical enough to make you feel good about spending your time with four rich a**holes.
- Spoons2025年6月21日Mountainhead is smug, shouty, and painfully pleased with itself. Tech satire without teeth. A cabin full of clichés.
- medinabello2025年6月17日Very boring and tedious movie.
- Rick Masters2025年6月18日As someone who’s genuinely concerned about the future of AI and its potential, I found the first 30 minutes quite intriguing.. Soon after that though it descends into total stupidity. I think I understood its reasoning but it just becomes annoying and ridiculous. Shame.
- Movies are good222025年6月3日"I would like some suck suck, on my dicky dick." Question for all of you Succession fans who've seen this movie was I the only one who felt like the dynamic between all the characters felt the exact same as the dynamic between the Roy's like it was the exact fuckin’ same like I do honestly believe the Roy family would do something similar to what these characters did like it's almost like that family was just painted with a new coat of paint I'm not the only one you felt like this, right? Anyways, I love this movie it's literally just more Succession, essentially like as I said, the dynamic between the characters is almost the exact same & that's what Succession thrives upon like it's really honestly just made for people who love Succession, & miss watching it now, as someone who's seen a couple reviews from people who haven't seen Succession, but have seen this movie I definitely underst& why they didn't love it it's really only something I feel Succession fans would really love but even then, I feel it's kind of a trickery kind of love since it's playing with the people who missed that show But anyways if I were to look at this movie just as it’s own thing & completely forget about Succession I honestly probably wouldn't have really liked it since it kind of just throws you into this whole vibe & feeling I mean, early on Succession kind of had the same thing cuz it really just throws you into this whole entire vibe & I do feel it kind of takes a minute for the vibe to truly settle with you, & for you to truly fall in love with it so applying that to this movie I can see why those people, who haven't seen the show, feel the way they do & then if I were to add Succession more into my overall thoughts if it was an episode of Succession, it would honestly probably one the weaker ones but even then, it is still a fantastic episode (or in this case, movie) cuz I just can't get enough of this vibe the vibe is just so addicting like as I said to someone on Instagram about Succession “Once it hooks you, it fuckin’ hooks you.” & so, I'd be very interested to see if some of the people who saw this but haven't seen Succession, were to revisit this movie after watching that cuz I do honestly think their opinion on the movie would go up a lot more but I can definitely recognize how that doesn't technically mean the movie is great it just means I got extremely lucky, & I was able to make the movie great for me Overall Steve Carell says Sigma PS Almost forgot to mention the performances. They're fucking stellar. I don't know what it is about this guy (the director of this movie & the creator of Succession). But he is just such a master at making incredible dynamics between characters. & when you put some of the best actors / some of the most underrated actors working today, into the same movie, & also this guy's incredible understanding of characters, into the same project. It’s just bound for it to be incredible.
- Jake2025年8月9日Awful, slow, weird acting, weirder story, Skip it.
