实际上《外太空杀人小丑》是一部具有强烈超现实主义风格的影片，几乎没有什么娱乐性，核心题材也不那么拿人眼球，所以有点不太容易令你坐下来，安安稳稳地把电影看完。而对于大多数人来说，如果一部关于外星小丑的电影拍的一点也不滑稽，那还有什么可看的呢？不过幸运的是，在后来的一大堆类似题材的电影中，这一部算是优秀的了。

- Richard2025年10月19日Back then, the cover alone was a dare, neon clown faces, cotton candy cocoons and a title that didn’t even pretend to be subtle. I rented it, rewound it, and probably watched it more times than was healthy. This wasn’t just horror, it was circus grade chaos wrapped in B-movie brilliance. The plot? Aliens land in a small town, disguised as clowns and start harvesting humans with popcorn guns, balloon traps and acid laced pies. No one believes the teens who witness it, because of course they don’t, they’re clowns. But these clowns don’t juggle. They kill. And they do it with style. Watching it on VHS added to the madness, grainy visuals, warped audio and that analog eeriness that made every cotton candy cocoon feel like a death sentence. The Chiodo Brothers went all in on practical effects and it shows: the costumes are grotesque, the set pieces inventive and the tone swings between camp and creepy with perfect balance. It’s low budget, over the top and absolutely unforgettable. The ice cream truck, the puppet show ambush, the shadow kill, all burned into my brain like circus nightmares. And now it lives in my Plex library, proudly filed under “VHS trauma I wouldn’t trade for anything.” Killer Klowns from Outer Space is pure 80s cult magic. I saw it on VHS, survived the clown invasion and still flinch at cotton candy. I just hope that with the Killer Klowns from Outer Space 35th anniversary reboot, they don't drop the ball as with so many reboots. If they ditch the practical effects, tone down the absurdity, or try to make the Klowns “cool,” it’ll be a circus fire.
