斯塔克军火公司是美军在全球范围内第一大军火供应商，其新任掌门人托尼·斯塔克风流倜傥，天资聪颖。他与公司元老俄巴迪亚·斯坦合作无间，共同将斯塔克公司的业务推向顶峰。现实生活中的托尼热衷收集名贵跑车，搞点儿发明创造，当然露水姻缘更不可少。所幸他身边有维吉尼亚·波茨这样的好助手细心打理一切，才让他能自由自在过着贵公子的生活。在前往中东为军方展示新型武器的途中，托尼一众遭到恐怖分子袭击。他被弹片击中险些丧命，在英森博士的帮助下，托尼体内移植了一颗核动力的人工心脏。恐怖分子要求托尼制造强大的杀伤性武器，他和英森虚与委蛇，暗中制造了一套由聚变能源驱动的钢铁盔甲。穿上盔甲托尼大闹恐怖分子的基地，回到美国后又对其进行了改进。却不知，接下来有更为黑暗的阴谋等着他……

    What a way to kick off the MCU. This movie still holds up insanely well. Robert Downey Jr. completely is Tony Stark, and the mix of action, humor, and charisma just works perfectly. The effects were awesome for the time, the soundtrack rules, and it never forgets to just be fun. Sure, the villain isn’t the most memorable compared to later MCU stuff, but honestly it barely matters because everything else is so good. You can really feel the start of something huge here, and they absolutely nailed it.

    I strongly believe without RDJ and the strength of this script, the MCU doesn’t happen. Robert hits a homerun here and creates a perpetual money machine of a genre.

    The movie that started a massive franchise. The film that made superheroes popular again. Even if it’s not cinematically perfect, every MCU fan — past, present, and future — owes thanks to RDJ, Jon Favreau, and Terrence Howard. The soundtrack is great, the pacing is tight, and RDJ delivers one of the most perfect casting choices in film history. I swear he must have been Tony Stark in a past life. The movie balances comedy, action, heart, and snappy quips without ever losing its sense of fun. If you're reading this review and you haven’t seen this movie… either you’re lying or I’m too old for this. Go watch it. Then watch it again. RDJ is incredible, the movie still holds up, and it’s just a blast from start to finish.

    The film that catapulted the current MCU into effect. Downey IS Iron Man. I'd hate to follow him. Exciting effects and twisting story.

    9.6/10 Such a fantastic start to the MCU, great acting and character work, the story was fun, and the soundtrack is awesome! Absolute blast to watch, easily one of, if not my favorite MCU film.
