- Richard Davis2025年10月13日It's clearly a big-budget movie. However, the story feels completely disjointed, almost as if it was being written/adapted as it was being filmed. Some of the action sequences, particularly the retro car sequences, are very good, but this is probably the best part of the film for me. Wahlberg is his usual action fodder here, but Chiwetel really doesn't quite the master villain for me. A shame, as this had the potential to be excellent and the beginning of a new franchise/universe.

- jackmeat2025年7月16日My quick rating - 6.4/10. Don't be bothered by the hate. I think people got pissed that Paramount+ saw "F9" on the calendar and decided to one-up that movie with insanely ridiculous CGI action scenes. So the wanna be critics shit on this. The truth is, this movie has plenty of what I just mentioned to the point of plenty of eye rolling, but people also decide to miss a highly stylized story going on in this one. Tackling the concept of resurrection in a summer flick is not going to be an easy sell, but Antoine Fuqua gave it his best shot and somewhat succeeded. Mark Wahlberg plays a schizophrenic guy who is troubled by his incredible intelligence of things he shouldn't know and feelings of dreams that seem to be more like memories. Hence, the resurrection story, he is a part of a society of other people that keep returning to life called the Infinite. But of course, there is an evil side to these immortal-like people led by a brilliantly played Chiwetel Ejiofor (when is he not). So in a fight to save all of the infinite good guys, and consequently the entire planet, Wahlberg must remember his past lives to unlock a secret to save everyone. The action is top-notch, starting off with an intense car chase scene, and regardless of some of it being done on a high-end computer, it gave you little room to take a break and grab the popcorn. But this is exactly the definition of a popcorn flick. Wall to wall action with a surprisingly good plot that does find itself a bit confused at times, but overall is a nice showing for the new streamer in town.
