月光光心慌慌:终结 Ratings & Reviews
- Jordan Jones2026年3月28日Halloween Ends 🎃🔪 - is the black sheep of the David Gordon Green trilogy even though there are things about it I liked such as the opening it was very impactful, unforgettable and very effective!! I think the acting from JLC, Will Patton, Andi Matichak & Rohan Campbell was brilliant JLC and Will Patton have very good onscreen chemistry and Andi Matichak and Rohan Campbell worked very well together as well also I thought. Again like the previous two films Halloween Ends is a very good looking film and is very competently made. But ultimately Halloween Ends biggest problem is that it feels way out of place and disconnected from Halloween 2018 & Kills!! The fact that Ends takes place 4 years after Kills is a huge jump considering that H18 & Kills took place on the same night. Also it made no sense that Michael would have just disappeared for that long, after he took out the whole gang that were after him at the end of Kills and was seemingly unstoppable & regenerated at the end of that movie. For him then only to be reduced to a very weak & tired Michael in H Ends that makes no sense whatsoever. I really disliked how they used and utilised Michael here and talk about shitting on your iconic character villain jeez. And out of nowhere in a 3rd chapter of a trilogy we're introduced to the Corey Cunningham character which is the one this movie focuses on, where it should have been centered around the whole Michael & Laurie showdown for the whole for a final chapter, because that's what the other 2 entries were seemingly building towards in this 3rd chapter. And the whole storyline where the evil from Michael has transcended into Corey which worst of all mounts to nothing as Corey is killed off anyway what a waste of time it has no place or meaning for this trilogy its ridiculous, bizarre & baffling to me. However if Halloween Ends had been a standalone Halloween film exactly like H3 Season Of The Witch was then it would have been much better recieved by both fans & critics its a shame. Because when you take H Ends on its own merits it's actually a very good Halloween film, the Corey Cunningham character was interesting and that storyline where Michael's gone weak and Corey's going to be the next Michael Myers was great, but again that storyline is in the wrong placement and timeline in the Halloween franchise. This film was so difficult for me to rate that I'm going to have to do 2 separate ratings and what I mean is if Halloween Ends had been a standalone film and was totally separate from the David Gordon Green trilogy then Halloween Ends would have been a 4.5/5 Stars, but unfortunately Halloween Ends bizarrely is part of the David Gordon Green trilogy and purely for that reason I have to give Halloween Ends a ⭐️⭐️ Rating. And this film on a filmmaking & quality level is so much better than that but I have to go by how it effects the trilogy as a whole and Halloween Ends makes and turns it into a mess.
- Ariel Buckmeier2026年2月16日The most hated sequel that is actually a great story with great characters; it has its flaws but it deserves more love that it has. What is evil? You are born with it o you are made into it? The questions remains open.
- SoCalPete_2025年6月30日Hated this one and that's my final answer
- Ted Montpetit2025年4月2日Excellent way to wrap up the series of movies
- thompsin2025年10月25日Movie was pointless. Should've just had it end with two. First was good, second was decent, and this was bad.
- LivewireAdmin2025年12月2日This movie is an absolute mess but I appreciate the finality of it. There's only so much you can do with a character like Michael Myers and they've done it to death. I hope the franchise stays dormant for a long time.
- tellum2025年5月29日“Show grief your fucking tits and say Let’s Go!” I swear to God that is a real line said by Jamie Lee Curtis.
- jackmeat2025年10月3日My quick rating - 4.7/10. I’ve been procrastinating on this review since I watched Halloween Ends a week prior, and the reason is simple: expectations + final result = crap. When David Gordon Green resurrected this iconic horror series in 2018, he took a bold turn from all the previous incarnations, continuing directly from the end of John Carpenter’s 1978 original. That first reboot had moderate success and felt like a fresh, grounded take on the Halloween mythos. Then came Halloween Kills, which critics panned, but I actually thought was a step up — more brutal, more in line with what Michael Myers should be. Now we’ve reached the big trilogy finale… and it’s a mess. This movie doesn’t just undo the previous two entries, it undermines the entire legacy of Michael Myers. Somehow, the most iconic slasher in horror history gets sidelined into a supporting role, tagging along like a deranged mentor to a small-town misfit named Corey (Rohan Campbell). The film opens with a scene explaining why Corey is an outcast, and it works well enough. But then you realize something is off: you don’t see Michael Myers for nearly half the movie. For a film marketed as the ultimate showdown between Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and The Shape, we spend far too much time on teen angst and Corey’s awkward descent into wannabe killer territory. His relationship with Allyson (Andi Matichak), Laurie’s granddaughter, doesn’t help either — it’s just more filler in a story that should’ve been laser-focused on closing this decades-long feud. The writing struggles badly here. Corey’s “training” under Michael feels absurd, and the moment the kid survives their first encounter, the entire mythos collapses. Even the small details are ridiculous, like Corey’s sudden miracle cure for needing glasses. You’ll know what I mean when you see it. What could have been a symbolic “passing of the torch” ends up destroying both arcs — the new and the old — in one swoop. The climactic battle between Laurie and Michael feels rushed and forced, loaded with why-in-hell moments that had me shaking my head. If you’re hoping for quality kills, forget it. Aside from one tongue spinning on a record player, there’s almost nothing memorable. Gone are the haunting shots of Michael lurking in shadows or silently watching from a doorway. Visually, this movie lacks style, suspense, and purpose. It looks fine technically, but it feels hollow — a finale that whimpers instead of roars. The trilogy ends with all the subtlety of a parade down Main Street, practically screaming, “We’re done!” Yet, we all know this isn’t the end. Halloween will rise again someday, hopefully in the hands of someone who remembers why Michael Myers terrified us in the first place. Until then, Halloween Ends lives up to its title—not as a satisfying conclusion, but as a mercy killing for a story that deserved better.
- Ahazi2025年11月1日Nice try, Satan
- Stephen2025年8月15日Not the best way to end it but was satisfied knowing the end. Jamie Lee Curtis is awesome in the role from day one.
- Zokkiie2025年8月15日If you were hoping for a thrilling, satisfying end to the saga, this ain’t it. The pacing drags, Michael Myers feels like a side character in his own movie, and the tone is all over the place. Honestly, the only good moment was when the film did us all a favor and killed off that one incredibly annoying character early on. Too bad they didn’t do the same for the other irritating one lurking around the rest of the runtime (and I, of course, am not referring to Michael). Everything after that? Just a slow shuffle toward the credits.
- Bob Maitland2025年10月22日Really liked the first two, this one makes wish wished they stopped at two.
- jborn4christ2025年8月25日An interesting take. Controversial final chapter for sure. I enjoyed the psychological perspective. Some are born killers, while others are shaped into killing.
- MR_BigTime2024年10月9日The first half was actually showing promise. Then it went straight to hell without passing GO or collecting $200.
