I've been watching this movie since 1984, it was a staple of my childhood, and now my kids' childhood. The content of the film is fun and light, with enough character diversity played out by it fantastic cast that you will be quoting this movie for a lifetime.

Don't get me wrong, I loved it too, back in the day, when I was maybe 13 years old and had not developed a keener eye for detail. But the sad truth is that Ghostbusters has not aged particularly well. Mind you, I'm still rating it three stars because it does have some solid performances despite the sloppy writing-directing. But when I didn't know better, this would have been a five-star. Now, that would only happen out of nostalgia.

The soundtrack — especially the unforgettable theme song — is just as much a part of the movie’s identity as the actors themselves. I don’t really have any complaints about this film. It was a massive hit when it came out and remains one of the defining movies of the 1980s. I’d recommend Ghostbusters to anyone looking for a good laugh wrapped up in paranormal adventure.
