Engine trouble strands Greg Winters on the farm of eccentric widow, Martha Thompson, who offers him a place to stay in exchange for handyman services. Greg agrees to the arrangement just long enough for him to fix his truck and leave town. The old woman's constant disapproval of Greg almost make the arrangement intolerable, but he unexpectedly falls for her beautiful daughter and soon begins to enjoy country life. Meanwhile the local sheriff is investigating a brutal hit and run. Can a few days in this small town force him to confront his past and change his ways? Or is it too late?
