This is a hard one to rate. In the end it is enjoyable and Reynolds (and Jackman to a lesser degree) elevate it. That said, the movie is about 80% fan-service. Even moreso than the other Multi-verse films. The film exists to let Reynolds and Jackman buddy-comedy it up and to make you cheer for character reveals. On those terms, it is successful.

A really terrible movie that shockingly has high ratings. I'll start with something I know is not at all the point of these Marvel movies, but it bears saying in specific relation to this movie: it looks horrible. At a certain point in the movie, Deadpool jokes about Mad Max for some reason, and you can clearly see the inspirations from Furiosa. But instead of building off the imagery from that franchise, it plays off as a cheap pastiche. The color grading for some reason is completely desaturated, so everything looks grey and dull. The action sequences are edited so chaotically, with cuts snipping away from the action and shaky camera pans. To be honest, there is not a single scene in this entire movie that seems to have been shot well or even competently. Regardless, I get that cinematography is not why people watch Deadpool and Marvel movies. In terms of plot, the movie doesn't really fare much better. None of the Deadpool movies have had noteworthy plots, but this in particular feels like a phoned in effort. It starts out promising, but nothing is really developed ever. Cassandra steals every scene, but the character has no intriguing motivations despite having hints at a compelling backstory. The movie also is cognizant of how it will need to handle the aftermath of Logan, and it doesn't even attempt to. After a sequence where it tries to be edgy about these concerns, it explicitly tries to ignore this conflict. This Wolverine is effectively the same as the one from the X-Men franchise, but he's ostensibly different. His backstory is so underbaked that it gets info-dumped in a weird exposition that doesn't even show anything, so whatever angst he's feeling is incredibly unearned. The movie parades around X-23 but outside of like two lines, there is no reckoning between the two characters. There is no exploration of the impact from Logan nor Wolverine as a high-level character. The movie is instead far more concerned about his costume, really symbolizing why it fails compared to Logan, viewing his impact only by the aesthetic exterior without any care about the meaty character interior. Finally, Deadpool does have an arc driven by his desire to be an actual superhero, but the movie never really earns this idea of him being able to self-sacrifice, instead just playing the cliched plot beats and going through the motions. I actually think there might have been an intriguing approach by focusing on his found family, but they are barely on screen in this movie. No point in mentioning themes because there are none. Now, you might be saying that no one cares about the cinematography, plot, themes, or characters. Deadpool is all about the comedy, and this movie is all about the odd couple buddy comedy vibes. To that, I think this movie is different from the first two in the sense that while the first two would often poke fun at superhero movies, cinematic universes, and franchise building, this movie actually becomes the very thing it is meant to be making fun of. At one point, he jokes about cameos, only to have an overdrawn parade of cameos, inclusive of "applause moments" where the movie is actively hoping to have people cheer their introduction. These characters are only relevant if you follow internet casting rumors or followed older superhero movies, and it will age horribly because the characters themselves have no depth unlike similar cameos in something like No Way Home. In general, you know Ryan Reynold's overeager line-a-minute comedic timing already, both from the first two movies as well as pretty much everything else he has been in. I personally find it grating, but I think it is pretty much the same here even if the fourth wall breaking and satire are a lot less sincere. I did actually enjoy his interactions with Wolverine, and make no mistake, the movie did make me laugh out loud a few times, so the comedy isn't awful, just not as clever. Lastly, in terms of acting, I thought Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds were what you would expect them to be. Certainly not Hugh Jackman's best Wolverine performance, but as mentioned before, he has nothing to build on with this half-baked character. However, I do want to call out Emma Corrin because they were absolutely fantastic as Cassandra Nova, and it's a shame the movie couldn't utilize them more. I am also always a fan of Matthew Macfayden who is again underutilized but great. Overall, if this movie appealed to you, you probably have already seen it. However, to those viewers who are not drawn in by the fanservice, this movie is just a giant stitching together of internet memes, a zombification of a character whose legacy was far better off prior to this movie, and the very representation of the type of movie that it is trying to mock. If this is what modern blockbusters and Marvel are going to become, we are in for a rough time.

Absolutely maximum stupid. I didn't forget to give it any stars, it didn't deserve any. I loved Deadpool, came to like Deadpool 2 over time, but this was garbage.

Meh. Too random for me. Movie is a mess. Its like a Family Guy episode of MCU. And I hate Family Guy. Nothing to latch onto. Both DP 1 and 2 told way more compelling and dare I say emotional stories. I think im officially over multiverse stuff, and I love multiverse stuff usually, over it at least in the mcu. Get back to compelling stories that have stakes and not just a endless barrage of universes that nothing matters anymore cause there is just another universe to whatever. Is there fun to be had here, sure, but mostly it rings hollow, even the Wolverine stuff which they try and give this certain amount of dramatic weight still feels hollow and going through the motions, riding the coattails of Logan. This movie is literally just that Leo pointing meme and not much else. I was borderline bored... But I also was super tired when I went to see it so maybe thats driving factor. Gallons of cgi blood and 500 f words are no replacement for a compelling story and while yes I like the characters for the most part they just felt empty even in their own movie. Also I hate going to R movies that have little kids in the audience. It was only me and my girlfriend, a sole lady behind us, and in front of us a dad with his like 6 and 8 yo... They were ansy and walking around the theater crawling over their dad. Luckily they weren't actually loud, but man they were distracting. They were not into the movie at all... And thats cause the movie aint for kids. Leave the kids at home.

Deadpool never disappoints. With Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine, this is by far the best Deadpool movie yet.

After an agonizing wait, I finally sat down to witness the chaotic union of Deadpool and Wolverine, and to say it exceeded my expectations would be a massive understatement. This isn't just another entry in a franchise; it is a high-octane, emotionally resonant, and riotously funny celebration of Marvel’s cinematic history. Out of the entire trilogy, this installment is undeniably the funniest. The film sets an impossible bar within the first five minutes. Watching Wade Wilson desecrate a sacred cinematic grave while performing a perfectly choreographed routine to NSYNC’s "Bye Bye Bye"—all while systematically dismantling a squad of TVA agents—is peak Deadpool. It’s a sequence that justifies the price of admission alone. While I regrettably missed the collective energy of a theatrical release, the sheer audacity of that opening translated perfectly to the home screen. The heartbeat of the film is the electric friction between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Their chemistry feels lived-in, as if they’ve been bickering across timelines for decades. Unlike the first film, which occasionally leaned too heavily on repetitive "shock" humor that felt a bit dated, the writing here is sharp and self-aware. The transition from the 20th Century Fox era to the Disney/MCU umbrella wasn't just a corporate footnote; it was baked into the narrative DNA. The way the film mocks its new corporate overlords while paying a heartfelt tribute to the "discarded" Fox universe was a stroke of genius. Surprisingly, the narrative carries significant emotional weight. In an era where "Multiverse Fatigue" is a real concern, this story makes the consequences feel personal and permanent. The MCU has struggled with "villain-of-the-week" syndrome lately, but Cassandra Nova is a terrifying exception. She feels like a genuine, existential threat rather than a mere plot device, providing a high-stakes foil that forces our heroes to fight with an organic desperation. I have to applaud Disney for having the restraint to leave the "Merc with a Mouth" unmuzzled. By refusing to neuter the R-rated spirit of the character, they allowed for a film that feels both authentic to its roots and expansive in its scope. Everything about this film was meticulously crafted to reward long-time fans while delivering a standalone story that actually matters." I spent the entire runtime grinning from ear to ear. Deadpool & Wolverine is a triumphant reminder of why we fell in love with these characters in the first place. It is, quite simply, a blast.

Deadpool and Wolverine is one of those movies that Marvel fans have been eagerly awaiting, and it doesn't disappoint. From minute one, the clash of personalities between these two characters makes the screen explode with pure fun. Deadpool, with his irreverent humor and always breaking the fourth wall, and Wolverine, the serious and wild guy we all know, make an incredible duo. The movie is pure action, with epic fights and moments of laughter that catch you off guard. The chemistry between the two is brutal, and Deadpool's jokes about the Marvel universe (and beyond) are the best. But it's not all joke after joke; there are also moments of emotion that make the characters feel more human, even among so much madness. It's a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, but knows how to give us what we want: humor, action and that touch of madness that only Deadpool can bring. If you're a fan of either of these two characters, or you just want to have a good time with laughter and adrenaline, this movie is for you. for you.

My quick rating - 8.3/10. How awesome was this movie? Deadpool & Wolverine is an energetic ride of humor, action, and meta-commentary that fans of both characters will absolutely love. The film delivers on its promise of fun mayhem, blending sharp wit with spectacular action sequences, all while poking fun at its own existence within the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. From the get-go, I was picking out Easter Egss this movie is jam-packed with and will have fans scouring every scene for hidden gems (this second viewing made it easier to do so). The humor is spot-on, maintaining the irreverent tone that has become synonymous with Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s chemistry is electric, and their on-screen banter, echoing their real-life friendly feud, is nothing short of hilarious. The constant zingers, especially those aimed at Disney's ownership of the franchise, add a layer of meta-humor that keeps you laughing throughout. This and the jabs left and right at the whole multiverse saga is quite amusing. The action scenes are exceptionally well-choreographed, combining Deadpool's chaotic fighting style with Wolverine's brutal efficiency. Each set piece is thrilling and inventive, ensuring that the action never feels repetitive. The duo’s dynamic in combat is a highlight, showcasing their distinct styles while working together seamlessly. The plot revolves around Deadpool being offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority. Instead of accepting, he recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his own universe from extinction. This storyline is clever and engaging, providing a perfect backdrop for the characters' antics. It cleverly balances being part of the larger Marvel picture with enough standalone elements and references to ongoing stories, making it enjoyable for both dedicated MCU fans and casual viewers. This flick could easily fit into the broader Marvel phases, but it also works perfectly well as a self-contained adventure. The film manages to reference the ongoing Marvel stories without being bogged down by them, allowing it to stand on its own merits. This balance is one of its strengths, ensuring that it appeals to a wide audience. In conclusion, this film is a fantastic blend of humor, and action, leveraging the strengths of its lead actors and the beloved characters they portray, delivering a movie that is both a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and a highly entertaining standalone film. For fans of either Deadpool or Wolverine or like me, both, you'll enjoy a good superhero romp with plenty of laughs. This movie is a must-watch.

Ryan has created a masterpiece... from the first scene, the madness begins and continues on... The plot of the movie combined with Ryan's humor is phenomenal... This is the third part of the movie and I thought, just don't ruin the first two parts, but he has done something that no one has managed to do, a third part of the film that is better, funnier, and crazier than the first two parts... What Deadpool has said and shown in the movie, I believe that it will be banned in many parts of the world, but those who know who Deadpool is will be thrilled to know that this is by far the best part of the story of the immortal anti-hero... I won't spoil who is in the movie and what happens, I can only say WOW YOU'RE CRAZY, RYAN!!!

Fantastic movie. Great story and a great team up with lots of tie-ins and references to other Marvel movies. Wonderful addition to the MCU. Probably the most entertaining offering since Avengers: Endgame.
