This film does an excellent job of building tension and creating a feeling of looming despair, as members of US Intelligence sit in anticipation of a nuclear strike of unknown origin. The acting, with some exceptions for the grunts, is top notch, with many of more well-known names delivering impassioned performances. My major problem with this movie comes about in the last third, where the movie's "schtick" becomes tired and repetitive, topped off with a nice little cameo from one of the WNBA's worst representatives to boot.
A House of Dynamite
The End of Oak Street
Genuinely one of the dumbest pieces of sh*t I have seen in years.
The End of Oak Street
Resident Evil
Welcome back Zombieland! I was so hyped for this, only to finally watch it and see that it's a slap-stick humor filled comedy movie with too many jump scares, bad writing, and middling CGI (with some practical effects that are difficult to notice because of the amount of CGI). The CONSTANT comedic interruptions by the main character killed any build up of tension, leaving me feeling incredibly frustrated. Not to mention the ending is so over the top goofy and moronic, that it feels like a slap in the face to anybody who was hoping for horror in their horror movie.
