Emotionally shattering nonlinear drama that weaves together three separate but overlapping stories about love, death, and redemption. Emotional whiplash. Great performances all round.
21 Grams
Michael
A well-acted and produced feel-good movie. Mostly a celebratory look at Michael Jackson's early years and his music. A little bit too sugar-coated, clichéd, and sanitised. Pure nostalgia. Like watching a how-it-was-made greatest-hits recap. It needs a lot more warts-and-all detail to satisfy my biopic needs. I hope the next part (if it comes) does a little more to show his complete legacy.
