It's a decent sequel. Love the special effects, same as the first, but the editing and overall cinematography feel like a mess at times. Oftentimes lazy jumpcuts lead you to wondering what the hell just happened. Also hard to tell if the movie is trying to be funny at some moments.
Not very cohesive overall but a well intentioned sequel. Nice to see (most) of the original crew return for this
Incredibly prophetic with the plotline of corporate media taking over the world, and Pierce Brosnan is still in peak form here.
The biggest issue is the story and the tone rarely mesh in this and martial artist Michelle Yeoh has nothing to do in her scenes.. I hate to say it but this feels like a step down from Goldeneye in many ways. I have fond memories of this film and I want to like it more but it's very uneven.

The Shivering Truth
This is funniest and most unsettling piece of avant garde art I've watched since Chatman's last show
The Shivering Truth
Serial Experiments Lain • Season 1
Legendary show predicting the philosophical/existential issues of the internet. Thoughtful, eerie, and weird. Give it a try.
