In 1973 Harm Thormählen took over his father's business and expanded the stallion with great success. Many Olympic horses and championship winners come from his breeding. Living and working with horses is on the one hand a business like any other, highly professional and lucrative, on the other hand it remains very archaic in spite of everything. For many it is a lifelong dream, because horses cannot be written off, because despite all breeding and culture they remain a piece of untamed nature.
